Professional Focus and Services

By channeling investments toward sustainable enterprises that act in the public’s best interest and care how they interact with customers, communities, and the environment, we are creating a healthy future that will include these priorities. Through the screening process, for example, we are seeking companies that produce…

  • Clean Energy
  • Proactive Healthcare
  • Affordable Housing
  • Loans to Small Community Businesses
  • Sustainable Buildings

…and channeling away from destructive uses, such as industries that pollute, companies that discriminate or employ sweatshop labor, businesses that produce harmful products, and corporations that support brutal and oppressive governments—making for a healthier and more equal world. This is the power of socially responsible investing.

Standards of Service
As a 26-year veteran in the financial and investment planning industry, a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner, and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designee, I am committed to demonstrating competency and ethical behavior. As a CFP® practitioner, I provide high-quality financial planning services; as an AIF®, I manage investment processes according to a defined “fiduciary standard of care.”

A Fitness Plan
I will perform a “Financial Physical” to uncover hidden illnesses, which may be keeping you from accomplishing your financial goals. I then prescribe corrective measures to assure successful completion of your goals and a healthy future, including examination of your cash flow needs and establishing an emergency reserve account. I also help you identify potential tax savings, showing you how to redirect those savings to help fund other goals, such as the education of your children or retirement goals.

Your chart will be analyzed by my “Lab” where an asset allocation strategy will be designed, recommending the best alternatives for your retirement savings given your personal degree of safety while maximizing returns using healthy and sustainable investments. I help you implement effective investment strategies by using the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Five-Step Investment Management Process: 1) analyze; 2) diversify; 3) create; 4) implement; 5) monitor, supervise, and adjust.

After examining your estate plan and using estate conservation strategies, I will point out ways to possibly reduce current and estate taxes along with administrative costs by providing suggestions on ownership of investments, types of trusts to use, and investment vehicles to utilize. I am available to meet with and coordinate your accountant and attorney as needed for further discussion and implementation of any recommendations.

Finally, I help you protect your income and assets in case of premature death, disability, long term care, and medical needs. I double check the protection you have, making sure it is the most suitable and provided at the least cost to you.

In working with small business owners, I apply all of these same principles and address the appropriate issues to create the most cost effective employee retirement plan and/or health benefits, while simultaneously meeting the owner’s personal financial goals.
