Whether you need professional money management or a retirement plan, a one-time financial consultation or a second opinion, your initial appointment will consist of discussing your desires and aspirations, and developing a plan of action. If your path to financial independence includes professional money management, you will have access to the best minds and products in socially responsible investing through the firm’s association with First Affirmative. Fees are based on an annual percentage of assets managed and are deducted directly from your account on a quarterly basis. Hourly fee services are also available for clients who are just starting out or have modest portfolios. No minimum account size is required. Back to Top

Education and Experience
Brenda graduated from the College of William and Mary and began her career in banking, assisting clients with IRAs, 401k rollovers, and various banking, lending, and investment needs. After spending over a decade in the financial industry and repeatedly being told that she was too much of an idealist to ever fit properly in the corporate world, Brenda founded Quinoa Financial Consulting, LLC. Assisting those who are also inspired to change the world is incredibly fulfilling and Brenda never loses sight of the incredible responsibility and trust that her clients have given her. Community Involvement
Brenda volunteers for Junior Achievement through her membership with the Financial Planning Association and is the treasurer on the Board of Directors for her homeowner’s association. A coordinator for the annual Richmond Vegetarian Festival since 2003 and an active member of the Vegetarian Society of Richmond for over a decade, she thrives on meeting and educating people on the virtues of living a healthy, cruelty-free lifestyle.
