Education and Experience
Gary began his career as a CPA, tax and financial planner with Arthur Andersen & Co. in 1979. Working with individuals, closely held companies, and not-for-profit organizations, he was promoted to manager in 1983 and remained with the firm as an experienced tax and financial consulting manager until 1987. He went on to become a Partner and Director of Taxes for a Regional CPA
firm in Albany, New York, again working primarily with closely-held companies, partnerships, and individuals. His practice has specialized in sustainable investment strategies since 2000.
Gary received his PhD in social ethics from Union Theological Seminary in New York, and his MS in accounting from the State University of New York at Albany.

Community
Involvement
Gary has been involved in many progressive community and religious activities. For a number of years, he was an adjunct professor at Drew University in New Jersey teaching courses in business and ecological ethics. He has served as the environmental and economic justice coordinator for the Greater New Jersey Board of Church & Society of the United Methodist Church, and as Treasurer and member of the vestry of the Church of the Redeemer in Morristown, New Jersey. Currently, Gary is Treasurer and serves on the executive committee of the board of directors of GreenFaith, a New Jersey and New York metro area interfaith coalition for the environment.

Personal
Notes
Gary has a passion for the martial arts and is a black belt instructor in the traditional martial art of moo doe, Oom Yung Doe style. He and his wife, Lisa, live in Madison, New Jersey.
