About Us

First Affirmative Financial Network is an independent investment advisory firm registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. We support a nationwide network of investment professionals who specialize in serving socially conscious investors. First Affirmative designs investment portfolios for individual clients who wish to put their money to work for a dual purpose—to provide for a secure retirement, for example, while working for a better, more socially just and environmentally sustainable world. We also provide consulting and asset management services for institutions seeking to integrate mission and values into their investment strategy and decision-making.

We are recognized as a leader in the sustainable and responsible investment industry. In the More About Us section, you can learn about how we serve our clients. We also welcome you to find out more about Our Beliefs and Our Goals. You can review the backgrounds and qualifications of our management team members by visiting FAFN Leadership.

Not only can your investments help generate the funds necessary to do the things you want to do, they can also affect the world in which we live. We know that how and where you direct your investments can have a significant impact on people, communities, and the natural environment. We design investment portfolios to help achieve your financial goals while reflecting your vision of the future.

First Affirmative Financial Network, LLC is owned by its employees, many of its associated advisers and by many of the key organizations within the social investment industry. Seven organizations that offer investment products that FAFN may recommend own 23% of the company, with no one organization owning over 5%. The other 8% is owned by persons or businesses with whom FAFN has business relationships. Except for George Gay, CEO and Steven Schueth, President, no person or business owns 5% or more of the company. This possibility is considered slight, and other supervisory and due diligence processes in the company are designed to mitigate this conflict.
